Early Muzzy Elk Stories
« on: September 28, 2011, 05:34:20 PM »
Hey guys...I'm dying to get out there this weekend.     I've done quite a bit of scouting and found a decent elk spot.   I've seen all sorts of people posting about calling elk during the muzzy season Oct 1st - 7th...mostly bow hunters talking about how they should still be in the rut.   What are your guys' experiences?   How big of a part of your game plan is calling this early ML season?   What's worked in the past?   I've heard that typically the bulls are more receptive to cow calls rather than challenging bull calls cause they're worn out from September peak rutting...
