pups first day out for geese

She didn't know what to think after the first one hit the ground but once she chased a cripple and watched the older one retrieve I let her fetch the cackler and she did just fine.

Yep it's very satisfying and rewarding to train and shape your own dogs into hunting machines. I really believe good dogs aren't just born they are made and are worth their weight in gold when trained to their potential.
She is only 9 months.

There should be plenty of birds this year to get the pup practiced up.
