Fawn blacktail
« on: July 09, 2008, 07:45:58 AM »
We've been watching this doe and her fawn in our yard for about a week now.  Last night the little guy jumped the 4' high fence and busted out of the yard.  His mother was outside the our fenced yard and the fawn was inside calling to her w/ the bleat sound; then he finally decided to try to jump the fence and he made it out.  I was surprised that he was able to jump that high.  I think he is less than 2 weeks old.

May I always be the kind of person my dog thinks I am.

I just saw him a few minutes ago back in the same area that he likes to hang out.  I didn't think he would jump the fence again to get back in.  I have my 5 acres fenced with 4' high fence.
