Just to clarify, the Wanapums can access the YTC from the village. A quick phone call to the YTC with a description of the vehicle, how many people, and what general area is all they report. They aren't required to report how many bucks/bulls are taken. And Chad S. I don't know what thier harvest was like when you worked with them, but that is not the case now. Numerous bucks and bulls are taken from the YTC by the Wanapum Tribe. However, I don't think I would put all the blame on them for low deer counts. They aren't the only tribe that hunts the YTC. And some of the blame should go to WDFW for all the tags given a few years ago.  :twocents:

But out of those 50 tags how many hunters actually filled their tags. I know for a fact that more than 50 bucks get taken from the firing center by indians. I know one, not going to say names, who killed 30 bucks himself off the firing center in 2009

Not saying it couldnt happen do i think it did? no. In my opinion we should turn the harvest reports into Yakama Nation Wildlife. 30bucks thats *censored*.

Nice buck. I agree he doesn't look like a high 170s to me but he is a nice heavy mature buck. Congrats.

Bigtine, I find it very hard to believe that one indian took 30 bucks from the firing center. Collectively yes, but not one Indian. If hair trigger says it was fair chase how can you question him?.  Even if the buck was close to a road I doubt there are many people that would pass on him just because he was within a few hundred yards of a dirt road.

Nice buck regardless and who cares if it was NEAR the road.  If I turned the corner and seen him standing near the road I would've harvested him to.  I think this gentleman showing a picture of the buck he harvested out there is proof enough that there are bucks of this caliber out there and weren't slaughtered by the truck load by the "Indians".  And I trust his word stating the score because it looks pretty close to me.
