Hello everyone,
Names Jonathan,
Im new to the forum here and new to bow hunting in Washington. I enjoyed bow hunting in MN Pretty easy to set on the edge of a corn field and see a nice whitetail stomp in front of you.. Not the same here though.. I have pm a few people asking about spots to fill my tags. Everyone is telling me that vail is a good place and to head near johnson creek road by tenino to possible spot some elk... I kinda started late.. a buddy was getting rid of an old bow and i decided to buy from him and i just up and decided to get my tags about the first week of bear... Been out on the south side of yelm in the ft lewis training areas.... But no luck... seen lots of sign... i even cam across a fresh killed cub.. was most likely killed by the male to get the mother into heat... his foot print was huge... i could put my boot inside his print ... but could never find him...
Anyway.. Just wondering what everyone thinks or what. I dont have a blind or stand... i tend to get out and move a bit.. First time i bowhunted was slow stalk and had a deer about 5 yards from me and been hooked since...
Im not looking to tag a monster buck or bull.. just want to fill the frezzer up... so anyhelp would be good... any pvt land anyone not hunting or know of thats near here or anything.. i would appreciate it..
Thanks everyone.. Good and Safe Hunting..
Jonathan
