First Seaduck Hunt

Made it out for our first seaduck hunt before Christmas and had a fun time. Birds were somewhat wary of decoys which made for some challenging shooting. We used blindside shells with mixed results. Hope to do it again as we had plenty of action.

You had a great first shoot. Many have never shot a harli or even have the opportunity. They are a pretty bird. I have mounted some of the ones I shot.

Thanks all! The Harli is at Moro Taxidermy. We hunted with Getty's NW Guiding. Ben has a great setup for seaducks.

Already @ the taxidermist. Saweet. That's my only fear of shooting a nice drake seaduck. The taxi bill. :-)
Luckily I've only shot hens the one time I went last year. Congrats.

The seaduck hunt was a real treat. We were able to chalk up 4 species between the 3 of us!
