Huntin La Center bottoms
« on: January 16, 2012, 12:59:26 PM »
Anyone know some info on this? I recently moved here, and don't know anything about it.  I've done some asking around and searching the net but haven't found much.  Not thinking I'll do any this late in the year, but thinking ahead for next year maybe.

Thanks for any info you may have.

Chris

Call the county... No shooting or hunting in or around county parks.   :sry: The people that shoot down there have leases on private land

Lots of private land. I dont have the number but I believe the Kahn family leases blinds down there. I can hear them from my house.

Would it be helpful to have access to boat for hunting around there?  Thought maybe a guy could set up in his boat on the river near the flats.  I scouted it this fall, but have not got a chance to go out there to look around in the baot.  Any information out there regarding this would be really appreciated?  - Thanks again!

I wouldn't do it or you will have a gamie waiting for you.  The private clubs will call you in.
Cut em!

Even if you are set up on the river, off private property?  The way understand it, that would be public waters to hunt. Rivers and Lakes can not be owned privately.  I would not be out of my boat on land, nor would my boat be "on land"  The only problem I would see with it is when you knock a bird down and it falls on to the private property.  Kind of screwed if that happens ............  :bash:

What do you think the gamie could do about it? Not questioning you, just curious .....  :dunno:

Just fyi, there are a couple rivers in washington that are private.  Meaning, the land owner owns the right to the river and you can't even float by!

That does'nt sound right. I thought you can only own up to high water mark.
I wouldnt hunt even along the high water mark without permission. But if the river is able to carry a small boat, or anything that I could float & hunt I am doing it.

Hey fckfordso7, you are mistaken.  It is posible to own the land in which the river flows over.  Meaning if the river should ever change course, you would own the land where the river USE TO flow.  It is not possible to own the water and rights to who ever floats it.  Sounds to me like you are either mistaken or trying to lead people astray.
