11' Ling Cod
« on: February 03, 2012, 11:28:17 PM »
Caught a couple ling cod and some rock fish thought i would share. First time bottom fishing the ocean, it was a blast caught 20+ fish between the wife and I. Also caught some crabs. :chuckle:

In my book cabazon rule the supper table.  Looks like you had some fun and will be eating dang good for a while.  Congratulations!

Although that ling looks more like 11 pounds rather than 11 feet :chuckle:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

You should post a pic if you have any. A 60" ling is quite a trophy. I've guided in SE AK for 22 years and have only seen a handful that size and they are awesome creatures.

This was a AK fish. Chartered out of a 42' boat for 3 nights. I must have caught 30 lings to get it, captin had to open the door on the boat, the first in 4 years. Awsome trip!
