Klickitat Meadows? Gone?
« on: February 20, 2012, 11:00:08 AM »
((Elk Area No. 3068 Klickitat Meadows (Yakima County): Beginning
at Darland Mountain, southeast along the main divide between the
Diamond Fork drainage and the Ahtanum Creek drainage to the point
due west of the headwaters of Reservation Creek (Section 18, T12N,
R14E); then along a line due west to Spencer Point (as represented
in the DNR 100k map); northeast from Spencer Point to US Forest
Service (USFS) Trail 1136; north along USFS Trail 1136 to USFS
Trail 615; east on USFS Trail 615 to Darland Mountain and the point
of beginning.))
I was reading thru the states web site and round this area with a line thru it all and reaf before in the proposed regs/changes that they were looking to get rid of one elk area. Anyone heard of this  :dunno:

It would seem WDFW is trying to get rid of one elk area, and open two new deer areas; go figure.

Must have been too much controversy with that new elk area they created since it was within the Yakama Indian Reservation.

Boo Hoo.... Think they gave out one tag to ML hunters last year..... No scouting or camping allowed... Only allowed to bring one non hunting person along.... Must also buy Yakima Res permit..... They can take that tag and shove it....  :twocents: Out of what I know..... And how many tags were given out in the last couple years for all hunters groups..... Not a very good hunt...
