i was hoping you guys would give me some information on the lucky shot archery shop how are they are they honest and straight shooters.  thank you for any imput i am thinking of going down there but didnt want to waste a trip

they are a very solid shop, one of the best in the state. I go there all the time.

 Well, take what you want from this, but I drive an hour from Spanaway  just to go there.

 I picked bowhunting back up in 2005 and had two bad experiences at shops. One was a big sporting goods style store that I will not name because it is one of my most favorite stores for anything not archery.

 The other I went to one time. Located off of Meridian, and I will not mention it's name, either, but I walked out of there shaking my head. And I had heard a lot of good about this place. Perhaps they just made a mistake, stuff happens.

 By chance I happened upon Lucky Shot. My wife and I went down there and fell in love with the place. We bought a Razor's Edge for my step son. Lonny, who has since retired, set it all up. Lonny, Ted and I were talking the entire time. They have a passion for what they do. Ted is awesome, he is the owner. Great guy and knows his stuff.

 We went back one week later and bought another Razors Edge for my son. Three months later I bought another for my wife and a month after that I bought my Destroyer 350. Never had anything but PERFECT customer service. Friendly, knowledgeable, passionate, willing to listen and follow your direct instructions.

 The store just has that feel when you walk in. It is open and not all cluttered, but that may be a bad thing in some peoples minds as they do not have tons of variety to offer. There are antlers hanging in all the rafters and they have a great indoor range in the back.

 Sometimes we will drive for that hour just to go shoot the bull and our bows. Have not been in some time. I really like that place and need to get back down there as I have all my archery kill Roosevelt's in there and Ted said that he would put one or two up on a support column or burl on the wall or something. Curious to see if he has or not.

Lucky Shot helped me out on a warranty issue with a limb on my Martin bow, which I didn't even buy from them. They contacted Martin and had them send two new limbs, and Lucky Shot installed them on my bow, all this was done in 5 days, and this was over a weekend since I left my bow with them on a Friday evening, and Martin wasn't open for business until Monday morning. My bow was ready by Wednesday afternoon with new limbs installed, all for only $20 plus $9 for shipping the old limbs back to Martin.

Needless to say, when I need anything for my bow, I will be taking it to Lucky Shot.

They are great to work with. I bought a brand new mattews drenaline took it home and somehow dry fired it on the first pull and I took it back and they completley redid the bow at no charge and it was all my fault.

Good range, friendly staff, First time I walked in I was greeted, and when I told them it was my first time, I was offered a cold beverage from their cooler....
Although.. when I told them I was a "Trad Archer", and was "just looking", it was like I put on Camo,..... I disappeared....
Cannot blame them, it is a business, and they sell some "moccasin Joe" products, but the store is not filled with little stuff, (scents, calls, etc..)
At least not when I was there.....
I do like their 3D course, but $15 for a round seems a little steep (but I was used to Skookums $5 fee, in the "old days")
If you are a C-Pounder, they will take care of you, and the indoor shoots look interesting..
Better service than you can get from Cabala's, or Bob's.... 
Wish they had some reasonable cedar arrows and glue-on tips (field and BH) and maybe a "used" section....

   Ted currently stocks a reasonable selection of "small" items ie..calls, scents, etc.... And has a used section of consignment bows and reduced price bows... usually last years models or leftys. However the quantity will vary alot throughout the year. With a bulk of his stock hitting the shelves just prior to archery season  

   He also carries a good selection of rests, quivers, arrows, broadheads, and releases, stabilizers etc... especially stuff to outfit mathews and bowtech. The indoor range is great, as well as his outdoor range, and the 3d is good. I have found 15 dollars to be fairly average if not cheap for a 30 target course. Bear in mind its open may thru august so the targets take a pounding. 

   As for traditional tackle, I agree there is not a whole lot of selection and like Stik assume it is due to lack of demand. Although I know he has done quite a bit of ordering for traditional shooters.

   Great atmosphere, and range. Fun shoots both indoor and outdoor.... My only improvement would be if he was a hoyt dealer!    Seriously tho... Its a fun range, and place to shoot. The staff will take great care of ya.

I've always had good dealings with Lucky Shot as well.  Great place.  Occasionally my buddy and I drive down there from Tacoma just to fling sticks.

I'll also second the bad experiences with that place on Meridian.  I watched that toolshed drive his truck down the median of I-90 with all his shop logos and everything, passing traffic for miles like a true a-hole.  I'll never step foot in that place again.
