Poll Added: Combining woman & youth forum bad idea?
« on: March 08, 2012, 02:33:16 PM »
I just think they are two totally separate subjects and should be kept separate.  My son likes the youth board and wont want to search through all the woman stuff...just my  :twocents:

Personally I'm not sure we need to segregate in that way. It almost makes it seem like youth and women aren't supposed to post in the "regular" forums. I think everyone ought to be able to post their topic in the appropriate forum, regardless of their age or gender. Just my thoughts, I'm probably missing something.

Just add a men's forum.....

Like that's going to work...  8)  :chuckle:

Maybe I should note this is for ladies and youth to post topics they don't want to post in other parts of the forum?

Just add a men's forum.....

I say get rid of both of them.  We don't have a men's forum.  Why have a women's and youth forum?

I'm old and not a woman, so what do I know?    But I say keep them separate, we should be encouraging more youth and women to participate and separate boards would make it easier :twocents:

That was the exact reason a couple of us disagreed with a "Ladies" board. Some wanted it as a way to draw in women, but some saw it as a way to segregate. Both men and women are hunters so why have separate boards.

But we do have two separate boards that see little use compared to other boards and I was the one who suggested that they be combined. I know some like the two boards and I saw combining them as a better solution than suggesting we get rid of them.

Youth do have unique hunt opportunities that no other group shares.  For that reason I like seeing them have a separate place to communicate.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

Since we are adding more boards, I think combining them is fine. We have a ton of public boards so combining or eliminating some is inevitable.

Or eliminating the Ladies board and leaving the youth board.
Or leave both and combine Waterfowl/Upland/Turkey.......and see what feathers are ruffled there.  :chuckle:

I think this is going in the wrong direction...

We have two distinct groups here, that need a place to post for just their group.  Women hunting and fishing is a big difference from Youth hunting & fishing...

two distinct set of players, two distinct set of posts.

I mean we have fishing and bowfishing...   I am sorry, but if I was a lady here, or a youth, it would be slightly upsetting that we are the minority on this forum, and get treated like what we want to post and talk about with others like us (women or youth) does not matter.

Just my  :twocents:
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
