Didnt participate in that charade and wont. It's been longer than that because I've drawn a 2nd deer tag two years in a row now. It's mostly a damage control program for areas with high deer concentrations and crop damages and possibly low buck/doe ratios. I think all the second tags are for does. I for one appreciate being able to get the extra venison in my freezer.

I'm thinking of the 2nd deer tags as "youth tags" now, because for kids the price is still only $22.Great deal if you've got kids to get them two deer in one season!
So if second deer tags are "management" tags, we are essentially paying 68 bucks plus application fees to do the states dirty work
100 pounds of meat from a doe? Maybe with the bones in. Most of these so called second deer tags are filled with yearling does that don't have enough meat on them to make it worth while. What a waste of an animal.
