Brased deer roast .... ol Yeah !

I love Sundays ... nothen better than cooking ... wait to see what we are brewing up today !! Another fine recipe that my wife & I just created today .... yummmy !!! I post all you need to know once we have it all cooked up !!!  :tup: 

              BRASED Deer or elk Roast .....

Take your roast and poke holes into it  Add chunks Garlic by pushing them into the holes ..All the way around it !!
Take your crock pot and add little olive olive oil in your pot
Take and salt the roast ...all over and shake on pepper
Then put your roast into the pot ....browning all sides
Once you brown your roast take it out of the pot and set aside on a cutting board
Cut up 1 cup carrots
1 Cup chopped Celery- leaves and all
1 Cup chopped onion
Add veggies to the juices you created from browning the roast until carmelized
Once you done that add 3 cups warm water and 1 can of tomateo paste mix well ...
Place roast back into the pot and cover and place in the oven on 350 for an hour and then turn it over for another hour then add your chopped potateos and cook another 1/2 hour ...then uncover it and cook another 1/2 hour... TOTAL OF 3 HOURS COOKING....

When your roast is finished you will slice it and place on a big plate or a glass cake pan and pour all the juices over the top of sliced pieces of roast ......Enjoy !!! ( Note make sure your crock pot is oven proof ) :tup:
