Sorry, for those who are not divers, each diver will bring about 80 to 100 pounds of gear including a tank.  Extra tanks are about 40 pounds (steel ones anyway).  So 3 guys, 6 tanks is over 1,000 pounds of people and gear not counting motor and boat accessories.  Dive boats hit and pass weight limits really fast.

Just gotta watch the fish spines on the rubber boats.  I kept getting little pin holes in my Zodiac, couldn't figure out what was going on.  Well, one day I got back to the boat before my buddy while we were free diving for calico bass, he swims up, flips his fish into the boat and...  pssssss, OH Crap!  After that we were a bit more careful and put a piece of carpet over the side.

The other nice thing about an inflatable is no trailer needed if you have a truck to stick it in, or on.  Same for storage space.

To repeat, get the biggest you can afford, or an inflatable.   :chuckle:

I am suprised no one has mentioned a livingston as a viable boat option. I have a 13'er that has run from sekiu to neah several times. yoiu cant beat a livingston for stability IMHO

Once saw three dudes in a zodiac, 30 miles off shore in AK????????????  They were smiling when we pulled next to them.  Stated they were fine and heading to their camp?  Not sure where that was????  Something about riding eight inches off the water that bothers me...  Extremely stable for sure.
