There are moose in all the areas mentioned in the other Selkirk topic and in older topics from previous years. Wait for a good one there are some dandy's in there.

Re: Selkirk Moose Tag - Can You See A Moose?
« Reply #9 on: June 19, 2012, 10:26:17 AM »
So I drew this OIL any moose tag for Selkirk for this year.  I start the nonstop map reading and researching for this OIL Hunt.  I noticed that I am moving closer and closer to the computer screen.  I figure that my eyesight is getting a little worse and it might be a good time to go to my opthamologist and get my eyes checked and update my glasses, if needed.  Turns out I have cataracts in both eyes!  2 surgeries later and I am good to go.  I had the cataract surgeries and my eyes are a lot better.

However, now I learn that something happaned and the retina in one of my eyes needs to be repaired.  So, how about another surgery on my eye?  Sure, why not?  However, as part of the surgery, there will be some air or inert gas inserted into my eye to help hold the retina in place while it heals.  While it is in my eye, I cannot fly or travel above 2,000 feet in elevation and it may take 1 or 2 weeks or months to be absorbed by my body.  During this time, I need to position my body so that my nose is pointed at the ground so that the bubble can float up and press against the retina.  In essence, I have to lie on my belly, face down for 2 weeks!    CRAP!!!  No scouting.  No looking at maps.  No reading about moose.  I did rent a massage table so I can at least lie down flat and watch a TV I placed under the table so I can watch some moose hunting videos.     No summer vacation up in the mountains camping, fishing, or scouting for moose.  WWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! :'(

Bummer
At least you could read the maps while laying in that position.
Best of luck with your healing process.
