It weighs right at 150#

it is 120''X65''  I needed it large because I'm fat.

the cockpit is 30''X66''X4''

If I was to build another I think if I had one guy helping me more clamps and we stayed at it, we could have it ready for paint in 15 hours each.

It is overbuilt too much.  I am 300lbs and I can walk across the top of it.  It doesn't need to be that stout so a lot of weight could be saved there.  If I made the corners for rounded, I could save an easy 25#.  I used .063 aluminum and that roughly weighs 1#^2.  quick math says by shaving off 1 1/2'^2 per corner you're going to save a minimum of 12# overall.  It would be easy to take off 3'^2/corner making a quick 24# savings.  cutting anymore off then we need to start doing real math and figuring out weights.

(in inches)L*W*H*62.4=fresh water buoyancy

I think it would be possible to build this craft with very similar dimensions and have it weighing <80#.

Since I am fat, I built the cockpit extra wide for comfort.  If a small guy could get away with a 20'' cockpit, you're at a real advantage as it will not take as much weight to sink the cockpit and make the boat draft correctly on the apron.

Are you going to put floating foam in it as well so it will not sink?

Since its metal i would also highly recomend some kind of closed cell foam pad on the floor to make it more comfortable and warmer.  :twocents:

Love the boat.  Looks like it will slay ducks.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.
