Alright all...I put a down payment on a Mcwhorter 270 Wby.  Now just looking for a scope....I have a Sawarski on my 338 and love it but I need something with mil dot or some system that helps me hold on for distance and or windage.

DAMN!!! Just did a search for Mcwhorter 270 Wby, not a cheap piece of iron! Good call on the caliber, should do everything you want it to and more. I have a feeling the rest of your guns may become safe queens after this one arrives. For scope, I like the Leupold Mark 4 or Zeiss Victory  :twocents:. post a picture up when it comes in.

I've turned over a new leaf.  Think I'm gonna look for a .223 for deer hunting.

It's all about accuracy, right?

Nice choice on the .270.  Will server you well under 1200 yards.   :P

Crap! Should be quite a fine rifle! Great call on the cartridge.  Guess you should go with the best you can get as far as the scope goes! I am a Leupold guy, made in USA!

They are a expensive gun but like I told my wife while talking her into it...."they will not loose value and it will be something I have the rest of my life so really in the scheme of things is is pretty cheap." I hope it is as accurate as they claim it to be!

Nice round   If you can afford to shoot it it's a real winner in my opinion.  I'd been thinking of having Rich Reiley make me one before he retires.  I just need to find a good Sako action for him to build it on.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
