I left my truck at 9:05 and shot this little guy at about 9:20. I decided to hunt with my 480 Ruger this year, so the first legal animal was getting hit. I'm pretty happy with the results for a 55 yard shot with an iron sighted revolver.

Cool.
"When my bow falls, so shall the world. When me heart ceases to pump blood to my body, it will all come crashing down. As a hunter, we are bound by duty, nay, bound by our very soul to this world. When a hunter dies we feel it, we sense it, and the world trembles with sorrow. When I die, so shall the world, from the shock of loosing such a great part of ones soul." Ezekiel, Okeanos Hunter

Ok here you go!

Are you going to let him in?
No, he won't use the litter box.

I'd show him the way to the freezer!

You guys are doing awesome!

Nice young 3x3, really fat! Taken late this afternoon:

25-06 at 212 yards with the 115 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip.

Felt real good about this public land buck. Hunted hard to get him, and am looking forward to making him into a bunch of good steaks!

Where'd you hit it?

Just behind the right leg, and it exited just in front of the left. I'll start another thread with a little more detail.

Really happy with this buck, Im a long time duck hunter converted to big game 4 years ago.  My coworker lewy has been my biggest mentor giving me advice on how to be more successful and in my opinion has shown me the "right" way to hunt.   This buck is my 3rd deer in 4 years, and my goal has been to shoot a bigger more mature deer than the year before.  First deer was a doe with bow, second was a spike with rifle, and now this one.   Pack out solo was grueling and I should have deboned the quarters but I didnt like a moron and my body paid lol.
60% of the time, it works every time.
