I hiked in a pair of Sitka grinder pants this summer and early fall, they were great. I picked up a pair of timberline pants a while back, so far I really like them. Can't wait to try them out when it warms up!

x2, as stated, Attacks for cooler weather. Additionally, Sitka Ascent and First Lite Corrugate are excellent as well. All available in solids if that is a concern. Prana Zions are definitely the most friendly on the wallet especially if you find a sale.
Albacore, the better white meat.

I have about 6 pairs of these.
These pants when purchased at 50% off are the best deal around for hunting or hiking.  They flat out handle the brush, breathe well, flex and dry quickly.  Just wait until they are 50% off.  Happens at least 4x per year.

Approximately when do these go on sale?

Wife and I saw them on sale at the Lincoln City outlet mall in Oregon around Veterans day. They didnt have my size though, or the color I wanted so I ended up at the other end of the mall getting some Northface and Columbia pants that were very similar for around i want to say $40.

I've been rocking the prana Zion since before Aron snyder made them famous.  I wear them off and on the mountain.  Wife calls them hot pants lol
