2019 fall migration

This past weekend I was finally able to drive far enough up the road system that I could then snowshoe and hike a few miles into where my camera units were left out last fall and winter. Have been capturing the fall migration of mule deer out of the GPW every year since 2010. This, from a tiny area of Chelan County.

It's always the whopper bucks that seem to come out last, and after the late season has ended.

That ol buck appears to be regressing. It truly is a shame what that deer population up there has become. At one time a person would have seen many nice bucks on that Chiwawa migration route.

Agreed, definitely a regressing buck. I'll post other photo's and video's as I process and edit them. I collected over 4,500 this fall. That's gonna take some time to ruthlessly edit and organize.

Interestingly, the river roads and trails I was able  to explore this past weekend looked like a cattle yard. Deer migration is in full swing in the Lake Wenatchee area!

Cool video. Love to see any other big bucks you got on the move during the migration. Sounds like a lot of work processing all of those photos and video! Thanks for sharing.

This buck got caught in a trifecta of cameras I had setup at the same camera site. Note how cautious he is.
