I passed on a few mid sized and smaller bears.  Nothing big enough.

I've never baited bears nor hunted bears over bait, but I always really enjoy following this.

Finally got some bait in my barrel yesterday.  You know it really sucks to face plant, but I can tell you it is even less fun doing a gravity check with 55 pounds of bait strapped to your back and carrying two 40 pound pails of peanut butter and catching a toe on the downhill trail to your bear bait.  That is a real bitch trying to get back up once you assess nothing is broken!!   :chuckle:
