This article points out a key problem with the so-called now "conservation first" WDFW plan.  We simply cannot go back in time.  Wolves do not and cannot belong everywhere they once were.  Period.

Article is a bit dated.
Only way people will learn is to transplant wolves into major cities.  Otherwise it will always be a uphill battle with wolf lovers.

I read where the Colville tribe is going to send up to 15 wolves to Colorado next year.  I sure hope that is true

I'd rather they send 15 wolves to Bainbridge Island...

im surprised they don’t offer guided hunts for wolves on the res. Two birds with one stone. Make some money and get rid of wolves

The quinalt do it with bears so I don’t see why colvilles or yakamas don’t guide for wolves. Win win for them.

They have taken them for a long time, success rate would suck.  How much would you pay for a nice walk on the reservation?

Good interview with a Colorado rancher. Don’t know if it belongs here or not.
