Yes 3 preference points... deer elk combo I applied and bought a preference point in 2022 bought the the preference point in 2023 and applied and bought the preference point 2024

Once you have a point banked (your 2022 application and point bought), you have to apply for your hunt in the following year (and buy point), otherwise, your banked points are lost. So, by just buying a point in 2023, your points were lost (assuming the explanation I received from MT F&G last year was correct). You would have had just the 1 point in the 2024 drawing, which is not a guaranteed draw. Sucks for sure that it is a bit confusing this way!  I would still call F&G and see if that is correct.

Big Wood
Congratulations, tough draw especially with the non res. 10% max on permit quotas. I’ve probably applied for that as much as you. My son drew it on his first attempt when he was 12 years old.

Tried the zero point route this year and it didn't work out. Guessing the zero point odds weren't as great as last year by the amount of people I know who didn't draw.

I would agree!  One out of seven for us.

My group went 1 for 4 this year. The one is going to have lots of support! Hopefully one or two of us that didn’t draw will get antelope tags.

Is there a second draw for the Deer B tags?

I never put in for B tags in the past, but put my nephew in for them this year.
