Stung Again
« on: October 01, 2024, 08:14:29 PM »
I received a call today from a hunter who was taken for $6500.  Seems like the guy from Graham is still working the Shows taking money while delivering nothing.  I hadn’t seen anything on him for sometime.  The Hunter felt confident booking with someone at the Tri Cities Outdoor Show.  Seems the Show Management is not interested in helping.  I’m thinking this guy has changed his business name at least 3 times due to cases like this.  On private land I’m not sure what can be done. I doubt he has insurance or any type of business license.  The hunter has a Westside elk tag I tried to steer him in a good direction.  He told me if he was 10 years younger he would recoup a chunk of his $6500

Wow, that's sad and terrible. Sure hope he can find a way to recuperate his losses and that there are repercussions for the culprit.

Isn’t some kind contract being signed?

Geeeez I would think he could take him to court or get the attorney general on it. So this guy gets barred from offering hunts ever again.

What’s up?  You just give a guy 6500. On his word?

Tell him to file a complaint with the attorney general office. If enough people he rips off do this, it’ll catch up with him. Unfortunately suing someone like him is probably a waste of time & money. Most lawsuits that the plaintiff wins go uncollected.

He can't be that hard to find.  He obviously spends some time in the woods.  I would give him one chance to refund my money.....then.....well, we will leave that everyone's imagination.   ;)

There's a common phrase where I live - "We'll take him crabbing"

The trick this guy is pulling - if he's one and the shane I'm thing of -  is that he targets people who have much more to lose trying to recoup their money than he does fighting them for it.

I still don't understand why anyone would pay this clown...or why show's allow him to set up shop. A simple Google search reveals his history.

For the OP
Was a hunt not provided as paid for..
Was a hunt provided but in his typical backyard of some neighborhood manner..
6k buys some really good Western hunts...but not with this dude.

Id also probably make a complaint with Fish and Wildlife.

Anyone got a picture of this guy??   It would help others to put a name with a face.

There's another saying. "RIP, take him to the train station."
