I saw a Primos begginers kit that had a couple of calls and a mini CD with instructions but I can't remember were.  Cabellas maybe or Yeagers.

There are a few at Cabela's and Wholesale Sports. So you already have a call  :dunno:

Yea, I have duck calls, but just want to get better. I want to learn the language better and improve.  Its easier for me to practice when I have real ducks or real ducks sounds to mimic or just recording of good callers to mimic

Check out You Tube and listen to all the different callers out there and you can get some other ideas on the calls. The obvious one is just being amount the ducks!

Their is a lot to choose from.  I think I have a Sean Mann and Fred Zink one.  They are both good ones to check out.  Listen to a few cuts on you tube as mentioned and pick one of those to order from.

I got my buddy into waterfowling last year and he got a Zink ph-2 call with a DVD, and I thought that it was great. I also think that they sell that DVD individually.

buck gardner has a really good cd.  i have it on my ipod and pretty much sleep with it on before duck season.  he is really easy to learn from and down to earth...

Somebody make me smart on this... I am in a similar situation.  I don't call because I can't do it right, though I think I'll start this year.  Last week at Cabela's I saw some (I thought were) expensive calls in the glass case.  My initial thought was "yeah, right", but are calls one of those things where you get what you pay for?  If so, what constitutes a "good call"?

A great starter pack at Cabela's is the Zink PH-2 which comes with a CD. I picked it up for a friend one time when it was on sale for $21. I think that it is $30 original. It is a very good call. You don't want to go buy a $10 call, but you definitely don't need a $200 call  :yike: There are a lot of talk about calls on here, and if you really want to know more than look through the search, or start a new topic

Kola, that's kind of what I meant... You could be excellent at technique, but if your call is garbage... I would think they go hand in hand.
