Hunting the eastside is like going to your brother in laws house. You get to go mess up his place, watch his nice new 60" plasma, drink all his beer, play with his kids, spoil them, teach them things they ought not to know, "CSI" the guest bedroom and generally make everyone there glad that you'll be leaving at the end of the weekend.

Hmm,
all those toothless, slack-jawed, inbred hillbillies with great weather, Mule deer, were the seasons actually change, Mule deer, were rain gear is an after thought, and did I say Mule deer?

VS

All those toothless, slack-jawed, inbred methmagots that steal anything that can be sold to a recycler, black tail deer, 3-point or better elk, two seasons - almost summer and rain,
Where rain gear and Birkenstock with woolsocks and those stupid looking hats with the dangling dingle balls are a fashion statement, and protesters who protest by twitter on their iPads that they want more free stuff, while crapping on the sidewalk. Where they welcome anarchists with open arms then complain about the damage they do after they leave.

Yep this is one Wetsider that can't wait to be an eastsider so I can also complain about all the rusty people who come over and shoot our deer.

Until then I will continue my October commute to Winthrop from Puyallup, not really that much different then my daily commute to Kent.
But a whole lot nicer scenery.

There is alot more to the westside than seattle.I live about two hours from Seattle.I live further out of town than say someone that lives in Selah or Naches.I also do not like Seattle, but there is parts of the tri-cities,Yakima,Moses lake and spokane that i'm not going to hang out either. The people that live in the Ellensburg are just as close to Seattle as me.My family lives on the eastside and i grew up hunting on the eastside. You do not own the whole state.I'm not rude to the many fisherman that i run into from the eastside ,when i'm fishing at Neah bay or seiku or Westport and those salmon are never going to the eastside.Quit Whining

Except our tax dollars of course.
Oh, and the revenue we generate for your local community when we travel east.

Ding, ding, ding, we have a WINNER!  A separated East/West Washington would be interesting in a post-colonialism sort of way, but do we really want a third-world state as a neighbor?  Nah.

I think 90% of Eastsiders would take their chances on becoming a 3rd world country if it meant keeping true "coasties" out.  I also think Eastern Washington would be much better off if the East side had a voice in what goes on in Eastern Washington, and not ruled by Democratic agenda. Eastern Oregon is in the same boat. Lots of good Westsiders in both states, but we just don't have the votes to budge the urban population. I would like to joint teams with Eastern Oregon and make a state, and let the Western OR & WA make their own state. They could let loose all the lions and wolves they want, and let the East side make our own rules.

We only do it to hear the whiney little girls complain about it. After all, we have Rosies to hunt. Guess it's working!

Same kind of sentiment is on the far reaches of the westside.  Probably just as upset about pugetropolis rule as E worshington.  A lot of the westside wants hounds/baiting back and subarus gone, too.
There is a story of a senator (henry Jackson I think) that was meeting with another candidate at the lounge up in the space needle and said...'look around, from here you can see all the votes you'll ever need!'

The only reason there is an East side is because there is a West Side....
