New to Coyote/Bobcat Hunting

So recently I have found an interest in hunting small game
couple quick questions

I have a Marlin 336 and a Marlin Model 60
Are either of these rifles good to hunt with?
I fear that the model 60 is under powered yet the 336 is too much gun

hopefully I would be keeping the hides.
I would be hunting Westen washington

Any tips or advice would be great. thanks for reading

I was going to get some 125 grain shots. or do I need less than that?

I wouldn't worry too much about getting a predator specicic gun right away. Save your money for fuel and get out there and do some calling. After you get some kills and have a good idea of what type of terrain and calling you like will help you decide which rifle to buy.

I too am new to hunting, and thinking of going for coyote since I wasn't able to get anything else so far.
I thought I read somewhere you couldn't sell the hides? Who would you sell them to, and what are the prices like on them?

Thats what the plan was. to get a feel for my gun here. im not too concerned about pelts cause sometimes a bullet hole looks good HA!
just bought a wounded abbit call. going to try and use it one of the coming weekends.
others say that a coyote call would also be good? or jut stick with the rabbit?

  You can sell the hides, a rabbit will be fine. Find coyotes, look for sign, call ALOT of times, be very sneaky, watch the wind. Keep at it.

If you're just hunting the WETSIDE/Westside.....all you really need is a shotgun with 00 Buck.

Rabbit distress will do you just fine. With a good open reed call like Bearmanrick's RR1 you can do rabbit distress and coyote vocals with the same call. A howler will come in handy though. Ater 10-15 min of distress if nothing shows try some howling then pup distress. Watch downwind of the sound because they will try and wind you most of the time. Try and call so your downwind is in the biggest opening thats available so they have to expose themselves from cover to get a wiff. That's where a decoy and electronic can help the most. You can put yourself in position to snipe them when they come in. Good luck and keep at them! Also, for a shotgun I would recomend #4 buckshot or hevi shot t. Really need to pattern it, it's just as important as sighting in your rifle.

gunna give it a shot. hopefully ill call in a couple. get a feel fo calling.
My 336 is sighted in dead on. Use it to bear and deer hunt

Will 00 buck work? or should I get #4 Buck

You'd want #4 buck. 00 buckshot will have too many holes in the pattern. I have used lead BB's.
