Im glad you posted this. One eye cup on my Nikons is broken and I wondered if sending them in would be worth it or if I should just buy a new pair.

Yes I love some Nikon.  A couple years ago and also broke one of my eye cups, so I sent them in to Nikon and they fixed the eye cup and cleaned them all up for free.  I paid to ship them when I sent them in and Nikon shipped them back without me paying anything.  Then the next year I broke the little plastic thing on the side where you hook up your strap.  I called to see if they could fix that even if I had to pay.  They told me I had to send them in to be looked at, so I did.  About 2 weeks I got a box from Nikon in the mail with a brand new in the box pair of the Monarch 5's.  Now the pair I sent in were a cheaper pair of Prostaff's.  So not only did they send me a new pair a even a better pair then I sent in.

I did the same last winter only with a spotter it had a blemish on the inside of the eye piece, it appeared they don't make that eye piece anymore so this is what I got in the mail

Thanks,

Obviously this is a problem with all of the Monarchs :dunno:

I had the same problem, both eyecups broken and wouldn't open. It cost me $14 with insurance to send them in and a couple weeks later, I had them back in my hands cleaned up, ready to go. Excellent service

...

I had my pair for six years and beat the hell out of them. If you want something lightweight and movable its going to be hard for it to last forever.

Both of my eye pieces are broken on my Monarch ATB's, They are going in after late archery.  It seems to be a very common problem, but I have never heard of someone not getting taken care of by there Customer Service department.

Hmm...I had mine for only 1 season when the first cup broke. Either way, they're fixed now and I wouldn't trade them for any other pair of binos in their price category.

My binos had a rattle in it. Called them, sent them in, they repaired them. These binos are probably 10 years old too. No questions asked.

I'd have a real hard time leaving Nikon products. They have sent me 3 new pairs over the last 12 years for the price of 1.
