« on: March 19, 2013, 08:58:21 PM »

But credit and debit card hits are posting today. My pastor got hit for the resident fee, so he will be elk hunting this fall.  :IBCOOL:  still waiting on mine  :(

Lots of hits posted on the AZ forums starting on the 19th, but not my card.  Looks like I'm out for elk and antelope this year.  Not an unexpected result after drawing Unit 9 for antelope last year (2 points this year) and only puting in for early rifle elk units (13 points).

I've been hit  Either unit 1-2,3b or 27 early muzzleloader or rifle. hope to find out soon. Could be me or my son.

Two friends of mine drew Unit 23 late rifle elk as nonresidents with eight bonus points each, was probably close to 100% draw odds.

Hopefully tomorrow April 1 will be the day. We have 2 out 3 hits on my credit card. Have to wait to see who was drawn. Makes for some pretty anxious times in the house hold.

Arizona elk draw is now out. You can find  it on line (arizona fish game) or the phone (602-942-3000)

I did not draw, But my wife and son did draw an archery tag for 5NB.   Will be a fun time in Arizona this year.

good luck to everyone on the draw.

Nothing for me, but that was expected.  Should be in the mix on elk over the next few years with 14 points.  Have 14 for goats too, but that will always be a crapshoot.

Very nice!  I don't know a lot about 27, but given it's location next to the reservation and Unit 1, I'm assuming it has giant bulls!  I know a big chunk of 27 burned in the Wallow Fire in 2011, but it wasn't a super hot fire and I would imagine it is probably great habitat by now.  Anyway, nice work!

My buddy drew the Unit 1 archery bull rut hunt with only four points. A college girl I know drew the 7W rifle bull rut hunt with only 7 points. Both are residents. So I will live vicariously through their adventures and help out scouting I'm sure.

Giant bulls indeed.

It seems as though the rut is going to happen relatively early this year. Its cooling off in the mountains nicely.  Most big bulls are rubbed, bugling and even some sparring going on.  If I had an archery tag, I'd hunt my season as early as possible. Good luck.
