Does anyone know some area to turkey hunt that is close enough to Portland for

I have a friend who hasn't hunted before that lives in Portland and is wanting to get a turkey. I personally have only hunted Washington out of goldendale.

do a google search. the white river unit up towards the gorge off I-84 has birds. tell him to call the game office tomorrow. I think there is one in the dalles.oregon. a ton of birds down south towards roseburg but it is a ways.

Closer to go down to the Wind River bridge and cross over into Skamania County. I used to hunt there when I lived in Portland. Used to be lots of birds there.
