Excellent idea about dropping pots the night before. There was previous mention regarding our guests having supplied catch cards....think they can get crab also?

Are boats still needed for this event?

Cool another boat  going to be a fun day. We should post some pictures of the Hunt Washington boats so we know each others rides

I offered to bring my boat for a camera or medical crew since I'll be fishing with Cohoho, not sure if it's needed yet or not but here is a pic !!

It was great chatting with you on the phone today. If you are requesting moorage the night before, note that on the space provided on the registration form and I will take care of that for you. Unfortunately, I don't think we can provide crab catch record cards for the soldiers. We are however providing at no cost to the soldier a salmon punch card through our group fishing license.
There are some folks talking about soaking some pots for crab and maybe boiling some up for the BBQ that afternoon. With the registration of brianmtsinc, we are now at 30 boats that I have registrations in hand for. We are still looking for 20 more with 2 of those being used for video and medic response boats.
My best to all of you....
 :hello:

Not to worry about the catch cards for crab. I'll have a card and two pots. That is good enough to dink around with. I'll probably plan on soaking mine overnight to add to the experience. We may have a volunteer....Lady Buckmark...to be the crab gal.

Some of us in the south end may have boats and skills. But I have no idea what type of techniques are going to be used? Is this a Salt fishery with riggers? beach/sight fishing for the stinks, I mean Pinks. Ect. How close is the fishing area? Ect, Ect.
I have a 20 foot sled. I just have no local knowledge of that area.  :dunno:

I dont want to get a couple vets in my boat and not know were to take them? I want them to have lights out fishing if possible.

Will post a picture of FISH 4 FUN later, WILDMAN... I have a 21' inboard sled and fish the salt all the time with it. You will be fine up there, plus will be lots of boats to follow to the fishing hole    :chuckle:

Oh salt is no problem! Ive towed it to Winter Harbor and fished the ocean. Took a 20 foot Wooldridge to Rivers inlet many, many times.

I re-read and it looks like a rigger show for Stinks mainly.

I plan to have riggers out the sides and back rods with weights, Pinks are not very deep and should come running to the weighted rods. Plus it is a slow troll with Dodgers not flashers so you will not have the drag. If you have ever fished Lake Washington Sockeye it should be about the same drill. Our back rods have at times out fished the riggers for Sockeye.

Roger that......my plan as well. Riggers off the side with a shallow(er) diver or long line out the back. However....when in a bunch of boats I hate to be THAT guy running long lines when everyone is using downriggers.

I was actually thinking of the weight releases for the back rods, when the fish hits and the hook is set the weight falls to the bottom. Was thinking of making some disposable steel bars that will just drop off and then it is only a dodger and the fish on the line

I like the idea....if you have a link or diagram for the rigging I'd like to see it.
