Would you shoot this buck?
«

Seen this buck this weekend. Would you use your tag on him? Do you think he will ever be bigger then a two point? He has eye guards so he is legal.
All the bucks i seen this weekend were 2X2s, 2X1s, and big spikes.

sitting at my desk i say no, i would pass. my first muley looked like that almost. 21" 2x2 with brow's. now on the mountain if he walked out, not on day 1, but on day 3 or 4, i think he'd be a shooter. i just haven't killed that many muleys and he's a cool buck IMO.

Yes, I probably would. Its hard to tell from the picture how massive he is or at what maturity level he is, but if I could beat a mature buck at his game on his playing field, then yes. If I was trophy hunting at the time(special permit or out of state), then I guess I would say no. I hope that all makes some sense to someone what I am trying to say. Most likely, he will always be a two point.(with or without eyeguards)

He's pretty tall, and has deep forks, your just not going to see that on a 2 1/2 year old buck, so yes I'd say he will most likely always be a "forked horn" and yes, I'd take him.

During general season in Washington and on public land? No doubt, I would take him.

Looking at his back side he appears to be a cross or a blacktail. If he is a blacktail and I saw him on the wet side, Heck ya! Opening day I would take em'.
