I spend more time in that unit than probably anybody and the ratio is 300 bucks for a 180, 500 bucks for a 190 and 1000+ for a 200.
Are those numbers official? :chuckle:

Probably close to it from past experience with previous permit, raffle, and Governor tag holders, but sometimes that 5Th buck u see makes book. You just never know
just flipping ya chit, those are probably close, although I think a tad low. :twocents:

I would have a tough time debating those numbers, 300 bucks to see a 180 class deer, and you are dead on that the 5th buck or the 299th could be the 180 class, you never know when they are going to pop out.  I will say if you see one that you are on the fence over and pass, if you go back to that area again and really work it over with your glass you will probably find that same deer again.  My experience is they are where you find them and when they migrate in they tend to settle in one spot for awhile.  Even when pushed they will return back to that general area within a day or two.

With luck on your side and a 80mm spotting scope overlooking a 5 mile radius, I think you can get r dun.

1,000 bucks sounds pretty good for a 200 class. Will be doing a lot of scouting and possibly a lot of spending for this hunt. At 43 now, 44 by the time of the hunt, I can't wait around another 10 or 15 years to hunt the sheite out of this unit. I'm looking for people to blow a little smoke on this unit. I don't care what anyone says, this is going to be a helofa good time.

Don't think anyone would argue with you that it is definitely a quality tag.

Holding out for a quality buck is a tougher task than many understand until they do it, including myself.  I drew the 250 quality tag last year and ended up eating it.  Had many easy opportunities for bucks early on but all where less than my initial goal...some bucks you will want back others not so much.  I felt disappointed when I drove home the last day for not bringing at least a spike home.  Any meat is good meat at my house!   It should be called "humble soup" instead of "tag soup".  Might think about that sfrenger???

I live up in gods country. I have had as many as 19 whitetail bucks in my front yard eating grain and hay. It things aren't looking good by the last day or two of the season, then I will probably eat my mule deer tag and go take one from the farm. But who knows at this point. To say it's early is an understatement. lol

I don't have a problem showing off because I will most likely never be drawn and most definitely ever  get one that big again

Now that's a dandy of a buck. I hope to see even one of those. I've seen some monster mule deer bucks out on the ALE Reserve by hanford. I kinda have an image of the kind of buck I'm looking for. Your buck has all the right parts i'm looking for. Mass, tine length, and character. Great buck.
