If ur talking about hunting the SE corner for WT's you will find very few.  Most of the WT's in ID are found in the northern 1/3 of the state.

Gotta love those heavy, dark horned timber bucks in the panhandle!  If you can find one that is  :chuckle: Not as many around as a few years ago.

NoDak whitetail is an OTC archery tag.  A bit of a haul, but there are some pigs out there...

Alaska Moose. OIL in many States and not an option in many others... for the price of some out of State deer tags...and punches a bucket list tab for many a hunter.

OR blacktails?? Land access is NOT AN ISSUE!! I hate hunts where "hunters" that cough up big bucks get easy access to big bucks, or bulls. Oregon blacktails are a real tough hunt but you are welcome to chase em, just buy your OTC tag...

ID archery elk.  The area that we hunt is any elk, it is the entire month of September, the area is archery only in Septmeber with the late hunt a muzzle loader season, and it is any elk.  After Labor Day we don't see anyone during the week and maybe a handful of rigs on the weekend.

Not the greatest prices but MT is hard to beat.  North Central ID probably the best if going for WT only.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

Alaska moose & caribou are OTC in many areas and Dahl sheep is aswell if you have a close relative up there or can afford a guide.

I've also had good luck hunting OTC areas for mule deer and whitetail in Montana.

Unfortunately, transportation to Alaska isn't cheap and neither is a Montana deer tag.

Depends on how much money you have to spend on a tag.  :dunno:There are some pretty decent tags to be bought in AZ, UT and CO. You said over the counter... I'm sure there's a counter where you go to pay for an auction tag :chuckle:
