Today a defiance boat ran out this morning and came back this afternoon with 45 nice tuna and a lot of small boats are heading out this week-end for tuna instead of salmon. :tung:

He said he would post when they get the fish taken cae of but they left this morning and were in by 5 so not to far. He did say they did good on bait and there were a lot of fish it's like a 28 foot boat so probley almost full. If I hear I will post but if you go to the Bloody decks site and go to wa. it's all on there and he posted on facebook.

In about 5 weeks (when we show up  :IBCOOL: ) they should be in heavy. I think we can deplete the population along with the bass, ling and Cabazon  :drool:

Good as I got a Tuna trip arranged for 30 Aug and hopefully a run or two with a couple other guys that I got an invite with...  Guess I better learn to eat a lot of Tuna...  Excited as a school boy at A Hugh Hefner birthday party...

It was the reel tite and it sure has boats getting ready down here best report of the summer.

September 11th for me, and a few others we are going for a 3 day trip I cannot wait myself looking foreword to fresh tuna bellies for the smoker.

Has anyone fished with Yaquina Outfitters out of Newport? A friend of mine just booked a trip with them and I'm thinking about jumping in as well. He's going towards the end of August. Let me know please.

For the last 3 days salmon fishing has been really good and the boats running out for tuna are doing pretty good but wind might mess up the week end. There is a site that is Westport charter association and they give a daily report where the boats are fishing.
