Sorry, I meant to say they usually post all their land.  Just saying that the signs are going up so it has started

The signs are put up as a courtesy. There are phone numbers you can call to verify access.

Honestly there are signs up in certain areas that are more than 2 years old

When I called the Grays harbor area message it said the last update was July 16th. Sounded like no closures yet? Even if its red dotted I am assuming we can ride bikes in behind gates??

In past years I have actually seen the signs before they update their hotline.  Ive called to see if they were closed and it hadn't been updated for almost a month so I pack up and get to the gate and there they are, FIRE DANGER SIGNS.  To be safe, I would pay attention to both signs and hotline.  Would suck to get caught and have to play the ignorant card because you didn't check :twocents:

State land is always open in the toutle and no fire has ever been started. Why not just have the land on the other side of the river walk in only?

State land is open--BUT Weyco. will close the gate so you need to fly.  They do it rarely now since they hear from irate people who demand easement to our public land every time they close it.  When they close it this year, be sure to contact the DNR and demand easements to this public land since there aren't any.

I didn't switch to bow hunting to get locked out of an area. Especially when I draw a tag for a unit. It's my third one, but would be my first time hunting it in the rut.

Except the thousands upon thousands of acres of state land that isn't land locked...

The state land blows up there anyway. All the hillbillies from Kelso head up there and screw sht up. Dump beer boxes out, and drive through clear cuts or thinned timber patche. We headed in to the woods up there well before first light, and these scumbags are heading out.

:chuckle: You just previewed this whole area, not just the state land in the Toutle.  Same can be applied to Ryderwood, Winston, and Coweeman.

Not in the Toutle there isn't.
