Where to hunt bears?
« on: July 31, 2013, 12:10:47 PM »
So a buddy and myself were going to take a 4 day trip to Ellensburg for a bear hunt, due to fire danger its closed.  :bash: We are trying to figure out a place to go for the day. I'm not trying to get honey holes, just a place to go on the west side that has a opportunity for a kill, and we really have no clue, do you? thanks guys.

the olympics are suppose to have decent bears from what I've heard...tried once last year in kitsap county and it was closed due to fire danger as well.  Forks on down to Raymond possibly.  I was going to check into Forks this year.

Well, you were going to Ellensburg, so head that way, just don't go quite as far. Hunt the Teanaway unit north of I-90 or the Taneum unit south of I-90. Plenty of bears in both.

Or how about somewhere between Easton and the top of the pass?   :dunno:

 :yeah:

But in all honesty....  Hit the mountains, there are bear everywhere.  Just glass clear cuts and slow walk gated off roads.  A kill is never a gaurentee or else it wouldn't be considered hunting.  We  would just call it killing or shooting or something like that.
