Trying to switch east side elk tag for west side.
« on: August 01, 2013, 09:04:08 PM »
I'm sure someone has posted on this same topic.  When I put in for my special permit I had to purchase an elk tag. I put in for a westbar cow tag modern. So I purchased an east side elk tag. I didn't get drawn of course, so now I'm trying to get my east side modern tag switched to west side archery. Sportco told me that it can't be done :dunno:

They are correct. I think guys have switched that don't apply for special permits, but once you apply for a special permit you are locked into hunting that side of the state.

Because everyone would put in east side, not draw and switch to west side.
If it aint broke, dont fix it.

Lots of elk on the east side, why would you blow your elk season?
