New camo dip
« on: August 04, 2013, 06:37:42 PM »
Just finished up my daughter's shotgun this morning.  Gave it a new two-tone base coat (with a feminine touch), a new camo dip, and a new hi-viz sight, and it looks like a new gun.  Can't wait to see the look on her face when she sees it, she picked out the pink highlights, and I've done all the work since she's been gone at cheerleading camp.

Hey T-stalker, glad you like it, if you'd like I can do your gun up with some pink highlights for you.  :chuckle:

This looks good! I'm sure she will love it! Can't wait till my girl is old enough one day to get her something like this  :)

how tough is that to do ? We just got my wifes 270 from her dad that she used as a kid and its a little rough around the edges "at best". if its not a major pain maybe i'll do something like that for her !

You wouldn't believe how easy it is. Do a search for companies that sell the supplies, and I'm sure they'll have how-to videos posted. Also do a search on YouTube. My brother and I practiced on pop cans, tool handles, and what ever else we could think of before we actually dipped a firearm. If you mess up, you can always sand off or apply a new coat of base paint and then dip it again.

Trust me on this. I know Couesbitten. He can barely tie his own shoes. I know that if he can do this anyone can.  :chuckle:

They make shoes that you have to tie?! Doesn't everyone wear velcro or slip-on?
