Day 3
« on: September 05, 2013, 10:00:26 AM »
Disappointing morning...

I had him in 7 foot reprod that I like...  It was raining with thunder so I could make more noise then normal. I could see cows every once in a while.

Note to self:  The thunder did not seem to bother the elk.  When it was loud they moved but it seemed to be natural sound. So they did not run to the other ridge when they heard it.

So I was getting closer and I had good wind.  Then a freaking heavy rain cell came through and changed the wind direction.

GAME OVER!!!

Well that is hunting...  He bugled a little and that was it.

They did not completely blow out.  I used the bark back technique to calm them down and moved out so that I do not completely blow them out of the country side.

I will be at it tomorrow morning.

I have one... I use it fishing.

The camera beeps when it start recording or stop recording.

It does not have sound for what I have recorded so far.  So you would not get any bugling either...

So kind of a bad idea...

Well, I get to hunt the morning's only.  Next week I have four to six interviews for a job in two days.  Not sure if they will be on Tuesday and Wednesday.    Which means if I get one in the morning.. I will be calling friends for help so I can get to work.

In the menu option on your go pro, you can turn off the beeping. You can also turn the red light off that flashes. I'm having the same problem as you with audio though.
If it looks fishy, fish it. If it doesn't look fishy, fish it anyway!
