Years ago outside of Sumpter, Oregon my hunting partner Channon and I found a bull that sounded like a gut shot herford cow. For a week we tried to get him to come to a call and he would not. One afternoon I decided to challenge him by sneaking up close and bugling in his face with that same herford cow type bugle he was doing. That guy came in so fast neither of us could react fast enough to kill him. Guess we really didn't think it would work and were completely unprepared. You just never know what those dang creatures will react to.
Need an elk talk interpreter app for my phone so I can understand what the heck they are saying
Every time I think I know I find out I'm wrong.

Isn't that the truth...I watched a guy whistle a bugle at a bull about 80 yds away the same day I recorded this one and the bull screamed at him....it was pretty funny

Before you could hunt Umtanum in the archery season my chiropractor friend and I would go in there and bugle bulls for the practice. One day we lost all of our bugling battles to the yarder whistle on a local logging operation. After that I thought maybe we should design a pocket sized yarder whistle for hunters
