Offer up an opportunity to a youth hunter that is just starting out or never harvested anything, maybe an elderly or disabled hunter if the area is relatively accessible for them.

Lots of ways to change someone's luck, start them off or just give them one more or one last chance...

Just a thought to consider.

Stellar idea

I understand your dilemma. Here's what I suggest. Go to Fred Meyer or another department store. Find the Men's clothing section. Find some man pants and put them on. Then go shoot one of the deer. No need to thank me. I'm here as a free service to our waffling and wavering members!

Stellar idea  :tup:thats a good idea if you think someone else may hunt them if they are safe from others i'd see how big you could grow one .

i myself wouldnt shoot one, but i would definatly let a kid shoot one, but only if they have not killed a deer in the past, sounds like a great way to get a youth hooked on huntn

Its all up to you. I personally have no problem shooting a legal deer in a legal place. One of the spots I hunt could he considered yard deer but I only shoot mature bucks there and does when I have a tag (to try akd help the landowner with damage) I shot my buck this year there becauee he was the biggest and oldest I had on my cameras consistently for tye summer. Another spot I hunt is a farm that only I have permission on and the deer there are pretty easy to kill with a rifle because I know what they do and wjere they go. Archery is different as its all crp.
To the op... you can shoot one or not shoot one. Either way I won't rag on you for making a choice.

Well, I didn't want to shoot one, but my younger brother really wanted some venison-so he took one of the smaller 3 points that's been hanging around there.

Ok....okay........now you've done it...............a nice respectable muley.........I'd shoot that one in the yard every year. I'm no where near picky enough to pass.

Well done helping out a family member with some access and meat for the freezer.
