As He Lay 2013
« on: October 15, 2013, 04:53:02 PM »
These are some of my favorite pics to see from members.  What did you find when you walked up to your deer this year?  Pictures taken "As He Lay" when you found him...

I'll start with mine.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Yes! Another reason to post my buck!   :chuckle: stretched out necks seems to be a common theme.

ShaneTyTrey that might be my favorite "As he lay" pic of all time

Makes me not want to show mine as it is too boring after that.  But, what the heck :chuckle:
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

I shot a nice buck in Montana in 2010 that was on a steep, snowy ridge.  He dropped dead but took off like a bobsled on the steep slope.  He ended up upside down with his rack caught on a log about 2/3 of the way down the drainage.  Total elevation drop was over 500 vertical feet according to my gps.  Would have been a sweet "as he lay" pic, especially if I could've got the long blood streak and slide trail in the pic  with him.  I was convinced walking up his rack would be broken but it surprisingly suffered only scratches.
