coweeman bull... hoofrot too.
« on: November 03, 2013, 10:34:56 PM »
I killed this bull today just before 1pm after dogging a herd through the brush for half a mile. Finally the bull cleaded in the brush from the herd for a 160-180 head shot. Got him... second elk I have killed within 100 yds of here.

Thanks guys!
Very known area for hoof rot. The other I killed there had it too. I didn't notice he had it till I walked up on him. That hind quarter is just a bit smaller. Fat reserves look just like the two other bulls we killed but they didn't have rot.

I gove it my all and try to get it done! Filled every elk tag I've had since 2007. (May eat idaho tag thisyear)  >:( but I do what I can...

The meat doesn't taste any different on elk with rot... still just as tasty!
