That series of hogs just makes me want to hunt Oregon!

Below is a picture of a 5X6, he busted off a fork on the 6 point side in late October 2010.  I took lots of pictures of him in November and December and then found the 5 point side in January of 2011.  The 5 point side measured 97 6/8.  Although the broke 6 point side was found 2 days later, I'm sorry to say, it lives at another house.  >:(

Another buck I took pictures of in 2009, I found his sheds in 2011 after walking within 30 yards of them for a year.  :chuckle:

As often as I find myself looking back through these photos, I'm surprised my keyboard hasn't shorted out due to all the drool I get on it.  If you don't mind sharing, what camera & lens are you using?  Great deer, stunning photos!

Thanks for all the kind comments on my pics.  I use a Nikon D300, a lot of my pictures were taken with a 70-200VR and this year I got a 200-400VRII.  For the most part for what I do the 70-200 is my go to lens but when I need a little more reach the 200-400 reaches out a little better.  Brute, we missed you this year during the mule deer rut.  We'll  have to get together to shoot Rosies in July.  Meanwhile, post up some of your good buck shots from previous years.

I only saw this buck one time for about 5 minutes and only got this one shot and then one of him going away.

This guy had a busted back fork

Last year, I took my sheds off of the drop tine buck to a taxidermy friend of mine, Christiansons taxidermy in Tillamook Oregon, to mount and I should get it back sometime around Christmas.  I'll post pictures of it when I get it back.

Here's a few fresh ones.  Not a great year, no snow and too many days with high temps in the 60"s.
