Look at it this way, you can either pay the $30+ for the pass. Or pay the $99 fine for parking without the pass, or $203 for driving without it.But guess what.. the fine money goes into the Discover Pass account! So those who are trying to "screw the man" are actually benefiting the state more by getting ticketed!

The $203 for driving is a natural resource infraction.Just some history, prior to the DP when there was just the WDFW pass, it was a natural resource infraction part of the fish and wildlife code. So the "penalty" is not as bad now since it is only a parking citation, and not a natural resource infraction.

Like let's say Sinlehekin game range area?
Okay, that's what I thought. So someone could go on a drive through Capitol Forest without a pass. You just would not be able to stop and get out of the vehicle.
So signs are posted and you were mad you got cited? [/quoteI read his post twice to make sure but Im not seeing anything that would make you think he was "mad'. Kinda makes you guilty of putting words in his mouth. But thats cool. I look forward to the info you share with us.
Pretty sure it was implied.....who likes getting a ticket. In his original post he states he didn't think he needed one. A few post later he states he knew better. That tells me he is very deserving of the ticket for trying to beat the system.
bigtex,I was told by the DNR cop over in my neck of the woods, that all the DNR land has been posted through the DNR website and that's all DNR had to do. Basically, he said that DNR land does not have to have a physical posting at each area. True of false ?

Basically, he said that DNR land does not have to have a physical posting at each area. True of false ?Well in reality the requirement of lands to be posted has been eliminated. When the Discover Pass was created some DNR lands required it and others did not, as a result the legislature required DNR to post those areas it was required. Then the legislature said ALL DNR lands required the pass, so in their mind, why should there be a need to post the lands requiring the pass if all the lands need it?So the DNR Officer you talked to is correct.
