Thanks longrange7mm for the input. I don't plan on drawing the type 1 just the type 9 and going the last three weeks of the season to hopefully avoid getting snowed out, not that you can't get hammered in september with snow.

What if we don't get that late september storm and those bulls don't come out of the high country. they are in wilderness and you have to sit at the boundary watching them. If you want a truly epic archery hunt you cant go wrong with 63/64 take bear spray and a pistol still hunt into the elk and start calling... Or wait until the last 2 weeks of season and come out and hammer a pig with a rifle. either way I wouldnt use max pts on a type 9
