Training Day Saturday 3/22
« on: March 19, 2014, 08:59:32 PM »
We are heading down to Pat Murphy's grounds in Monroe for this event.  The training is partly in preparation for a UKC hunt test coming up in April.  This groupp seems like a very family friendly organization.  Her is some info:

Cascade became the NEWEST Chapter accepted in the NW as an official HRC club in 2013!! Our members have worked hard for this great accomplishment.

Here is info about the  practice Saturday

To: Cascade-Hunting-Retriever-Club-announce@meetup.com

Just a quick reminder and heads up about the practice this coming Saturday March 22nd @ 10am.  Please RSVP via phone  (Boyd: 425-501-3989) or from our website.  Some of you may receive this notification twice if you belong to our site as well.
Please note we will be using a mixed bag of birds for this training day as the freezer has run about dry on stock..  So our training day could consist of ducks, chukar, pigeon, pheasant....  After our hunt test in April, we should be able to fill up the freezer once again with training birds.  We appreciate your understanding.
Volunteers to help with lunch and or setup/take down are always appreciated!
Also, on Saturday we will have available sign up sheets for our Hunt Test.  If you are willing and able to help in ANY way, or have questions about how you might be able to help, please see Kate Szilard.  There are many ways in which you could help make this event successful, as well as run your dog(s) too!
And one other note..  We will be selling raffle tickets for a Zinger Winger & Holding Blind combo package!!   $5 each or 10/$45.  The drawing will take place at our Hunt Test on Saturday 4/12, need not be present to win.
Hope to see many of you all on Saturday.. Maybe this time we can avoid the rain, snow, sleet and hail and get to see some sun!!  :)  Happy Training, Piper

Here's our girl at her first trial last June.

Cascade is a great group of folks and a really good, non threatening environment to get an introduction to the formal dog training/games. If you go, you will have fun and your dog will benefit from the day. Don't be why about showing up. It's a fun crowd.
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checked by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the grey twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."
