More Butts and Lings
« on: May 17, 2014, 07:36:50 PM »
We hit it pretty early, headed out by moon light, got to the fishing grounds by 0530hrs and done fishing by 0715hrs.   10 Lings and 5 Butts, not counting the 6-8 Halibut we dropped back in in hopes of slightly better fish.  Back at dock and fish cleaned by 1000 and left camp ground, back home at 1630hrs...  550ft of water....  Awesome day with Robodad!!!  We had a blast again!!!

Headed out of the columbia for some butts yesterday. First taste of salt this year :) sure wish we could keep lings with butts aboard, long run for one fish. Back at the dock by noon, four fish for a boat limit, mine being the biggest at 43", chart says 37lbs.

Nice fish all! I was able to get back out on Saturday. The bite was a lot tougher than Thursday. We were at the prairie, had to work all day to get our fish. The 'buts were a bit smaller than Thursday as well. We sorted through a lot of ping pong paddles to get our keepers. Biggest was in the low 20's. Still a great time with great water conditions.

That's the best kind of fishing partner!

I told myself I'd get out this year, but I'm not sure it's going to happen. If I do get out, I can only hope that I'd do half that well!
