Thank you guys who have offered solutions and helped directly.  I was able to reach Michelle today and believe we have worked out a firm date of July 3rd to pick up completed work.  I will keep you posted

I hope that rug is just as exceptional as any rug that Michelle's ever turned out and then some.

We've all seen a gigantic amount of complaints about her business on HW and elsewhere, but none about the quality of work she does.

Let's hope that holds true for you

I'll give you a deposit of 50% congratulations on that resolution today and the other 50% when you actually get the bear back. ;)

Ive been pretty fortunate. My experience has been different from most of the posts I have read. Ive called Michelle 3 times total. First time she answered we talked. I set up a meeting to drop off a deer head for a euro. 2nd time I left a message fairly late in the day. She called me back the next morning. 3rd time a few days ago, I called Amber answered the phone. She must be a helper. She answered some questions I had. To my satisfaction. So maybe she is trying to get things squared way and on track.

Just want to share whats been a positive experience so far.

Quick update...

May 28th as posted on here that I had I communicated with Michelle and that we came up with end date of July 3rd to pick up completed rugs.  There were some details that followed and I've been asking her to confirm those details to be certain we are on the same page.  After 2 emails and 2 text messages to her, I've yet to get a reply.....

I'm having difficulty giving her the benefit of the doubt and once again am back to the same scenario of not being sure just what to expect.....

Last week, we did talk about some things over the phone.  Then there was a few text messages that followed.  I then have been trying to communicate with her and confirm everything we agreed on.

She sent me a text yesterday that read, "I talked to you about this over the phone".  I replied with 3 more texts and believe that is all I'm going to receive.

Imagine the volume of work she could accomplish, the high customer satisfaction, and the financial success she would enjoy if she would only turn all of that excuse-making time into taxidermy work.  Boggles my mind. :bash:

It is to bad to see this happen. From what I am seeing Michelle is experiencing depression/ mid life crisis which has lead to the landslide that has started. I say this having experienced it myself sometime back.
I hope she seeks help because she did great work. And a respectful taxidermist told me that she does the best work on bears hands down.

Hope everything gets worked out for everyone

Quick update.

It's now 2 weeks from the agreed upon pickup date.  I was mistaken and I have not paid in full.  I'm trying to find out how much I still owe her (while I do have a ballpark guess).  This number I'm told,  won't be known "until they are rugged".  So.... I left her a voice mail today as well as a facebook message asking if she had the final number yet.

I'm really hoping this goes as planned....but I am nervous.

Does that mean they're not rugged yet? Or was that the agreement when you originally dropped them off?
